Removing Dog Stains From Your Carpet
AHH!! Has the dog training somewhat failed? Act immediately! Blot up as much dog urine as possible using a
soft white absorbent towel or napkin. Remove any solid or semi-solid matter quickly.
When working on getting the stain out, start from the outside of the stain and work inwards, working from the inside
out will spread the stain further.
Soaking the carpet with club soda,
letting it sit for up to ten minutes Then blotting will help remove stains and odors as well as any pet carpet shampoo.
If the stain has still not come out, prepare a spray bottle with 50% water and 50% white vinegar. Spray on the stain
and blot the stain, repeating if necessary.
The enzymes in laundry soap,
BIZ for example, are the same enzymes as those in some of the more expensive pet products. Soak the area and let it
remain wet for at least 24 hours. Be certain that the detergent does NOT contain bleach or lanolin.
Sprinkling on baking soda, letting it sit overnight
and vacuuming the next day will help take away the odors that may accompany the pet stain.
