How To Remove Red Wine,Cosmetics From Carpet

Cosmetic Stains

Nail Polish - Remove nail polish from carpet with acetone and denatured alcohol. First absorb as much of the stain with a cotton ball with acetone. Shampoo the carpet if needed

Lipstick - Remove lipstick from the carpet with denatured alcohol and liquid dishwashing detergent that does NOT contain lanolin or bleach. The denatured alcohol works on the color pigments, dishwashing detergent works on the oils.  If the stain remains, try a mixture of hydrogen peroxide, 50-50 mix with water. Moisten the area and let it sit for up to 30 min. Keep applying the hydrogen peroxide until the stain is completely removed.
